Stage 2 told us one thing very clearly: you want to have more involvement in club decision making, and you want that involvement to happen earlier.
We've listened, and we've developed Stages 3 and 4 of the WERCING Group to make this happen. We'll share more about Stage 4 soon, but first, here's what Stage 3 looks like.
At future committee meetings, we'll be inviting one or two club members to join us as member representatives.
This isn't just an opportunity to sit in and listen. You'll be welcomed as a full participant, with the opportunity to discuss and debate agenda items, share your views and contribute to decisions.
While you won't have a formal vote, the reality is that we very rarely make decisions through voting anyway. Our approach is based on discussion, collaboration and reaching consensus. You'll have every opportunity to be part of that process.
We'll also ask you to share your experience with the wider membership, in whatever format suits you best – whether that's through the newsletter, email or social media. This is about helping members have a stronger voice in how the club is run.
