WELFARE

Important welfare information and downloadable resources

The welfare of our members is our top priority. We strive to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all runners at WERC.

We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harm or abuse and are committed to addressing any such incidents at the club promptly.

As part of this commitment, we have a dedicated welfare email address that is only accessible by our Welfare Officer and Club Chair. If you have any welfare-related concerns, you can email, in confidence: welfare@werunclub.co.uk.

To ensure the well-being of all club members, the best thing you can do is to familiarise yourself — and adhere to — the club's Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy.

WELFARE OFFICER

Our dedicated Welfare Officer is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

DEFIBRILLATOR

Sudden cardiac arrests can happen without warning, and having a defibrillator on-hand significantly increases the chances of survival.

West Edinburgh Running Club have invested in our own Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to dramatically increase safety at our sessions. Full details on how we ensure the defibrillator is used effectively within the club can be found in our AED guidelines document:
