West Edinburgh Running Club is built and run by a small team of dedicated volunteers and we’re always on the lookout for others that want to give that little bit more to our beloved running club.
Our committee roles are elected positions, voted on at our AGM or, exceptionally, an EGM. As a WERC Committee member you’ll be right at the heart of helping shape our club and ensuring its continued success. Some roles may require specific experience or training such as our Welfare Officer and Treasurer positions, but for the most part enthusiasm and a willingness to give a small amount of your time to club activities is all that’s required.
We’ll make it clear when positions become available but feel free to leave an expression of interest by emailing info@werunclub.co.uk in the meantime. Equally, if you do have any questions then feel free to speak to an existing committee member.
COMMITTEE POSITIONS
Our coaches are the lifeblood at WERC, delivering high quality sessions week in, week out. Perhaps you’ve been inspired by one of them to embark on your own coaching journey? Like our committee, the coaching team at WERC is also made up of volunteers to plan out and deliver each of our sessions throughout the year. As the club grows and develops, having volunteers, leaders and coaches on hand allows us to safely deliver enjoyable tough sessions and guided runs to the membership.
