COMMUNICATIONS LEAD

West Edinburgh Running Club are looking for a social media and communications lead to manage and support our information & member communication across digital platforms.
We anticipate the role will include the following tasks, though the dynamic nature of the club, and your expertise in the area may see the mutually agreed role and responsibilities evolve (for example, the recruitment and managing of sub-groups for individual projects):
Writing posts for our social media platforms and website.
Scheduling posts via social media scheduling tools
Moderating online discussion
Monitoring social media for likes, comments, notifications etc and responding appropriately
Devising campaigns for expanding likes, followers and reach
Adding content and information to the website
Communicating with the WERC committee on social media issues
Assisting with other social media projects that arise
We are looking for dedicated and passionate members of the club to apply, who are able to meet the following skill-based requirements:
Commitment to WERC's values.
Ability to work within WERC's Safeguarding & other policies and guidelines.
Experience of using Social Media in a work setting
Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively when sharing content.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual.
Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online – remaining calm, balanced, and neutral.
Volunteers will need their own equipment (Laptop/Tablet, broadband etc).
We anticipate this role may involve around 3 hours per week of dedicated time, though this may change at certain times when projects demand.
