We understand that Thursday nights at West Edinburgh Running Club form just one part of your training and running life. So that you can plan effectively, we'd like to give you a sense of what to expect at club over the next few weeks.
Please note that when we plan Thursday night sessions we take a number of factors in to account; our membership, the weather, how busy the surrounding areas are, number of coaches etc. This can require your coaching team to make changes to the sessions with little to no notice. We recognise for some that this may have impact on your overall training regime, thus we will only make changes when it is felt absolutely necessary and attempt to give notice where possible.
APRIL 31st - EARLY RISERS CLUBOur members only early social run, meeting at 5.55am you'll be back for 7am, ready to take on the day.
MAY 1ST - TEMPO LADDERS
This week we will be offering the same session...in two different flavours. One at Saughton Park and one at Kaimes Road! Meet at the park at 6.30pm for flats and the Zoo for hills.
MAY 8TH- 20 ON/OFF
20 Minutes continuous. One side hard, followed by one side easy. Repeat.
MAY 9TH - EARLY RISERS CLUB
Our members only early social run, meeting at 5.55am you'll be back for 7am, ready to take on the day.

MAY 15TH - RED, AMBER, GREEN
Another WERC classic that sees us running short mixed intervals in groups of 4.

MAY 22ND- TIRED LEG ATTACK
Sets of short powerful intervals...followed by sets of shorter and more powerful intervals.

Time to get hunted! Runners head out at a steady pace. After a certain time they all turn and the faster runners, who have run further away, race to try and get past the pack and finish before them. The less fast runners...try not to let them!
